TUM-A-LUM LUMBER
Location: Pendleton, Oregon
Type: Commercial
Our client, TAL Holdings, acquired their first lumber yards around 10 years ago when we helped them with renovations to establish a look and feel for their new brand. Their strategy was to acquire building materials businesses in county seats and consolidate them under the TAL umbrella to become a regional player. They have grown to 32 hardware stores and lumberyards in 4 states. We have assisted in their venture by helping refresh, expand, and coordinate these disparate businesses over the years, which has included an updated, inspirational shopping experience, bolstered by the use of large windows, updated light fixtures, dedicated and modern design centers, an emphasis on natural materials and lighting, and updated graphics highlighting the company’s history and ties to the local communities. The end result is a cohesive and enhanced shopping experience that is both fresh and yet inviting for even the most traditional customers. At the same time, we have helped develop a comprehensive look and feel for the brand, including colors, graphics, design standards and an architectural language of elements that can be applied to a wide variety of existing industrial structures to unify them as part of the TAL family.
